Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Pay or no pay?

I am hearing 100 different answers
I answered yes to a screen question
I was sent home
Was told to call sedwick
And stay out 14 days
Does the club pay me?
Do I have to use my own time?

You can't find out info from managers, assistants or team leads. We need PTC or HR back in every club.
#1 They know very little.
#2 It simply isn't right for team leads to be able to see every ones private info.

I find it so frustrating that we cannot find out this information from management. This blog is the only way to get information.

I believe you are paid by the club for just the 1st day, the day you are sent home. Then when you contact Sedgwick you are paid the rest of the time through their process.

When this virus first started and for approx 2 months I know for a fact that the government paid (employer) for 2 weeks of stay at home (isolate or whatever you want to call it) for employee. I used it, so I know. But I did have a doctors note saying I needed to self isolate due to my husband POSSIBLY having symptoms. I had to call Sedgewick and I faxed them the dr letter. Sedgewick will have the answer for you. You may not need a note and after the 2 weeks pay, I used my PTO and ppto. Call them! Tell Sedgewick you aren't feeling well or you feel unsafe or whatever the issue is and they will guide you. They are on the side of the employee. Good luck.
