Hearing some rumors that people who were denied VRIF a few weeks ago are getting notices they are now accepted?

My understanding of the round this week was it came out of the blue. Several people denied both times recently, then boom they get an email saying they’ve now been accepted. They did not have to do anything but apply those first 2 times and get rejected. The email came out of nowhere! They are now done in two weeks
I was denied last time. Then yesterday 10 of us were approved. 2 others were involuntarily RIFd. Our last day is July 24th at Olathe Honeywell
When the second rif round was offered, those of us who volunteered for the first, but were declined, had to confirm our intention to be considered for the second round. We could opt out of volunteering for the second round, if our situation changed between round 1 and round 2.
For those accepted in this new "just kidding" round, did HR give you a choice and did you have to reapply? Or did the acceptance show up unexpected? I mean, if you were turned down for this most recent RIF and then based on that you made some big life decision assuming you would be working for a while longer and then all of a sudden out of nowhere HON tells you that you have to leave after all in the next few weeks, that may not sit well with some people. I would be at least a bit p!ssed.
I was accepted, got my notice yesterday. My last day 8/21. I work at Phoenix Engines.
what locations are VRIFS being accepted at ?
Several people at my site where denied both times, the latest being just a couple weeks ago. Yesterday they got an email that they are now accepted and have an end date later this month.
I wish this were true.... got the big tacky buzzer thumbs down twice!
It's to late for VRIF?
Next quarter projections must look increasingly worse than expected. Here we go again, guys. Its probably not as a big trim this time but definitely it will be soon.
It’s true. I know somebody who volunteered, got denied, then was accepted today.
That is true. I was not accepted for prior vrif, but was accepted for this round. I am no longer with the company.
