The fulfillment performance based pay is bull when you consider how short staffed a lot of clubs are and how little gets pulled during second shift. It’s just another way for the company to keep moving the brass ring further out of your reach while you k–l yourself trying to get it.
If you are not moved into the job code of Fulfillment Associates then your job code is as it is now (most are coded as merchandisers however we have heard of others such as Cashiers doing this as well.) If you are coded as a Merchandiser your pay is around $11 a hour, if coded as Fulfillment Associate you will make $15 a hour.
At our club if you are doing Curbside you are responsible for pulling, staging, dispensing and loading orders. That is what gets our Curbside team as it is, at most, two of them during the day and very little help pulling at night. They get frustrated because there are times they will get to 7 AM the next morning when they leave for the day (leave at 12:30) only to come back the next morning to find very few orders have been pulled for the next day. Rinse and repeat.
The have been told they need to pull a certain amount of orders to get this Fulfillment Associate team but they have no chance when very little is being pulled when they leave for the day. Shame on clubs that are doing this to their associates and I hope you remember that you get what back what you put in. I would like to say that someone higher will see these happenings at more and more clubs but truth is these clubs are and will continue to lose good people because of how they mistreat them.
So quick question... if being moved to fulfillment job code is based on performance, what happens to us that don’t move to it?
you guys keep talking about a club pick up team ..what is that ? in our club one of the stockers has to do club pick up.. not the same one every day.. some days we only have three stockers so a team lead will do club pick up.. curbside is done by the front end / cart people. unOrganization is the rule at our club. EVERYTHING is unorganized !!
How many months have they had a Digital Team lead that was over “Club Pick Up” but yet had no team? At our club the few people left in Club Pick Up (now Curbside) were told they had to pull so many orders in order for them to be able to get tagged as this Fulfillment Team which means a good step up in pay to that of $15 a hour (I say good as of right now they are tagged as merchandisers and make merchandisers pay off $11). Yes, the $15 a hour bump in pay sounds great and they deserve every bit of it however remember that with a bumb in pay you are going to be expected to do more...a lot more.
As of now our store has two people doing all things curbside and throwing people in the new ship from club and it is a mess. Very little organization and even less priority on putting a team together and it shows and I do not know how management is not being help accountable as members have to be calling in to home office voicing their frustrations.
To answer the question posted, in short, yes. Curbside is suppose to be listed as Fulfillment Associate and from our understanding are to do Curbside and Ship From Club. The pay rate for being a Fulfillment Associate is $15.
All I know is that in our club Curbside/Ship From Club is not a priority and it shows. They have asked their Digital/Fulfillment Team Lead about this being a official team and they keep getting told they do not pull enough orders to make this position possible (which is a shame because if they had the people they could do what is asked and more.).
From what I’ve heard that current cpu associates will be selected for fulfillment based on their performance. Not sure what happens if you don’t meet that but probably moved to the floor? Just have to wait and see but it’s coming soon.
So there was a call at my club today. I wasn’t told any info yet except one the associates was told he needed to preference for the new fulfillment position... but they didn’t tell me that I needed to. I’m worried now that I’m being screwed over for the new guy.
