They took 30+ people to Tempe and R/O and now laying off people from the floor??? Who is going to be left? Are they shutting down engines?

1015 has effectively shut down their APU line. The problem is, no one is buying new APUs or engines so they might just shut the lights off at 1015 until they can find a buyer for this old, outdated junk HON used to make. Get used to it, folks! AERO is already dead. What's happening now is the cleanup of what remains. Selling off excess material, selling product lines, etc. Most of the R&D functions were eliminated completely and a good amount of engineering were let go. C&PS was hit especially hard. See the writing on the wall, here? It's not hard to see what's going on.

ALT doesn't care what we make. Everything is a widget. Just look at who got laid off, didn't matter what someone did or knew. I think their idea is we snap engines together with a contract workforce and all parts come from low cost supplier.

I'm several years removed from any "gear" line knowledge, but we made many very, very difficult, non-standard parts that would be h**l to move.

Secrets and Lies. Of course they have an alternative plan. It's just not shared with the "non value-added" employees. At least, that's how I felt when I worked there

Not sure how they can shut down gearline that quickly. They need an alternative source of supply....

Just heard everyone in the Gear line building is getting there notice, Aug 21 last day. I would guess everything south of Air lane is being closed.

Modern industries is perfect for the 404 building. They can blame the chemical spills on Honeywell.

Ex-Honeyhell employee checking in. I work at the fantastic company that has moved into the abandoned 404 building. Will be our hew HQ within a couple of years. HW still operates out of the tool crib next to the runway. They are clearing EVERYTHING out.
