I know some people in the Moonshot and Edgeline group in Houston. They seemed to let go their younger folks.

Some years ago to reduce cost (focus on hiring youth, moving to low cost regions) the plan was to start up the HPE Taiwan Design Center to offshore Houston Engineering R&D jobs. What this amounted to was the very experienced Houston HPE Design team members "Literally" training the HPE Taiwan Design team. The hand holding / training was required prior to transition of work to HPE Taiwan Design team.

With the hand holding and training of HPE Taiwan Design team complete Oct. 2019 a large number of the Houston HPE Design team under Jim Kuo were WFR'ed. The remaining members of the HPE Design team under Jim Kuo that were not relocated to Taiwan in the Oct. the WFRs are have continued for 2020.

The "small" remaining number of Jim Kuo's Houston HPE R&D Engineering will be impacted in next.
