Time off for Covid

Can anyone walk me through how time off for a positive Covid test works? Do you send a screenshot of your positive results to your manager or file through Sedgwick which will take 2 weeks in itself?

My husband was showing symptoms and we called our doctor. He emailed us a letter pretty much saying that we both needed to isolate for 2 weeks to make sure. Husband was fine, I'm fine. After that 2 weeks, which was paid without using PTO or ppto or sick time, I did NOT feel safe working at Sam's and I took off longer, using my accumulated time off hours. But you must go through Sedgewick for LOA. Just let your manager know you have contacted Sedgewick and ask the manager to enter your time off if you have it available..That was when this virus first reared its ugly head...don't know if it's the same now or not. Call or email Sedgewick...they are there for you. Good luck. No job is worth yours or your families health!

Then a few weeks after you come back they will write you up for "performance issues". In about 6 to 8 months you will be terminated "for cause".

All you have to do is call Sedgwick and they will email you all the information

Basically Sedgwick and your Doctor fax each other...back and forth...then Sedwick decides. In my case, Sedgwick denied my claim because my doctor didn't fill out the paperwork to Sedgwick's satisfaction.
