I was part of Digital, Compaq,HPE for 42 years, finally forced retired in 2017, had a good run,
I was ready to walk away after being constantly being under the wfr train since 1991, got wore
Out, but was wfr`rd before I did, along my career things changed, you were a number, things done
To make you quit, customer first tuned to customer last, I was 17 wfr`d at 59 so I Retired, there is life
After HPE, just go out and make it happen. Good luck to you all.

So if it like Q2 with a slim chance of growth, what happens next?

I had a great career at Digital Equipment, Compaq, and HP Inc. I was laid off from HPE in 2017 exactly one month before my 36th service anniversary under a theme that I was being "retired".

Field Service aka onsite service delivery was outsourced to Unisys a short time later so it probably was a good thing since it became clear to me then that HPE was going to go down the tubes eventually.

HPE never demonstrated any loyality to me so the sooner they go out of business the better. I do, however; hope that HP Inc survives.

Oh it’s likely going to be really bad. With this “second wave” of the coronavirus, you better believe HPE is going to perform as bad or worse than our ugly Q2 numbers.

This is all speculation of course but if Q2 was the best way we were being conservative during this situation, then I don’t expect some magic to happen where we suddenly have supply chain clearing their queue of backlogging and supplies for manufacturing.

I’m getting let go on July 17th. I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel for HPE. They claim this layoff plan and reorganization is going to save about a billion dollars for the company. It was only three months ago where my manager told us that our company had two billion “in our pocket”. So what exactly is this savings of one billion going to do if we likely burned through two billion so fast and are resorting to layoffs?

Three chief officers leaving the company in two quarters. What does that tell you?

Godspeed to those who haven’t been impacted by WFR at HPE. You’re in one heck of a ride where your efforts may not even matter by the end of Q4 and you could very well be let go. Survival of fittest!

Management does not know what they are doing.

They can continue until the the company run out of money and is out of business.

Question is how long can a company continue by restructuring and cutting people off as recourse?
