That last comment is golden and so true to reality.
But the kitchen is staffed with just a cafeteria lunch lady with a microwave oven.
Follett pays 70 million for a shiny new menu, that does nothing more than the old one, but provides nothing but a microwave and a lunch lady for fulfillment.
Getting rid of is not the same as wasting money. How about putting some money into the garbage fulfillment system instead? EF is a fancy menu at a restaurant and a server to try to get you to order the specials of the day. But the kitchen is staffed with just a cafeteria lunch lady with a microwave oven.
When in-person sales are not possible, getting rid of your online presence makes perfect sense.
Efollett team is over 100 people and many millions of dollars each year. Its a website folks. I agree invest in store personnel. Not VP's and higher at the home office.
