Would someone be able to share info on what happened in South Bend? I retired in 2016. Good luck all.

I was RIFFED in 1991, with almost 20 years of service...it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Allied Signal/Honeywell is the worst place I ever worked!
Someone summed up my feelings. The stress melted away when i was cut!
They laid off approx. 140 pf 300 workers in aero. Did it over the internet. Not even big enough to have a chat. Years, loyalty, none of that mattered. Didn't give the 401K match because we didn't make the full year. Very petty on their part.
Terrible to hit employees so close to retirement!
Rocky Mount already got stripped yesterday
Rocky mount NC is next
Bat $hit Crazy. That’s what happened. I’m literally blown away.
Labor costs will run it into the ground. Double edge sword... get union to help protect you, but then wages raise over many years and you can’t be competitive. Tons of bad publicity with retirement changes and that area of South Bend isn’t doing anything to attract people. You probably got out at a good time!
Absolute blood bath. Never seen anything like it before.
It's a m—acre at South Bend. They're cutting deep, to the bone. Aero or SB has to be for sale or on the block to shut down. Cuts this deep with who was cut is only going to majorly cripple the site and the support they provide to their customers. Unfortunately, those who are left have a huge disaster to deal with and I would expect most of them will be parting ways with Honeywell, if they're smart. Leave, see who buys it, if it's a good company that really values their employees, then reapply.
Friend just lost his job in engineering along with 15 of 22 total in his group. One guy has been there approx 40 years and lost his job today. No loyalty in corporate America anymore
At least 10 hit today more to come
