Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

More RIFs at UOP DP site?

Any news? The Oil and Gas industry is looking bad, all major oil companies are cutting projects and people.

Check out Honeywell's Investor Relations materials on their public website. There is an initiative to drastically reduce ownership of buildings and sites by at least 50%. This ball started rolling in 2019 and should have been your clue that a massive restructuring including census reductions was being planned. The coronavirus pandemic and oil price plunge just made UOP's ball roll extra fast to knock down the pins that were already set up.

If you are working in the Des Plaines UOP campus and don't already have an office in Building B or Building 2C, get ready to move there. Census reductions (RIFs, voluntary separation, retirement packages, terminations for cause) will continue to happen so that those who are left can fit in Building B and Building 2C. It's a good idea to clear some space in your storage closet at home.

Did you all get the HR Meeting on Talent and Build your Career Profile? This after person after person were "deactivated" in Outlook this week.

Buckle up for more after the "voluntary" separation. They already have a slate of names no matter how many people offer to leave

Just heard UOP DP site had another round of layoffs last week and also asked for volunteers to leave by July 1st. It is getting worse. Good luck everyone!
