I'm calling BS on that post. They're still laying off in the crafts, I find it hard to believe someone got called back.
What location / craft? Just curious
Go back and take as much advantage of the company as possible.
Layoffs are part of railroad jobs, have been since the 1940's. If you have no better options go back and think of the railroad as a part time job.
You are not a real railroader until you have been laid off and called back.
