Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

This round seems to be done?

This round seems to be done, still don't know what the number is.

The question is, when the next round is going to be?

The next round will be in Q3 then some more in Q4, out FY20 figures will be bad so off we go again into Q1 of FY21. Neri and May announced a three year restructuring plan, I guess that will have a continuous cycle of WFRs.

@psv “they are the most effective and standard procedure to reduce cost.”

Yeah no $h!t... Excuse my language and my my attitude of being rude but seriously. With little money HPE has left from a nightmare Q2 performance and likely an extremely grim future, there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Godspeed to the rest of the survivors of recent layoffs. Their time will come to a close as well.

Next round of layoffs will be in Q4 and your contributions will likely be heavily monitored by your VP/GM. You’ll have to keep yourself productive all the time.

Negative. I'm getting let go in July.

There will be more soon, I predict. You thought Q2 was bad? Wait until you hear about Q3 and Q4 with recent news of covid.

Business units usually have to budget in the cost of the severance packages when they are done on a small scale - but when they are done under a large program like we are currently seeing, the packages are funded at the HQ level. Also, keep in mind, the WFRs do not have to be "for cause" either - so managers love them - release someone without the risk of lawsuit. (That paper you sign to get your severance package says you won't sue) - WFRs at HPE are absolutely a normal business practice - this time we are seeing it on a very large scale.
