Trying to determine if this round is once again favoring older (and higher-earning) employees or if it's more evenly divided. Most of the people I know who have been laid off today are in their late forties or early fifties. It'd be good to know if this is a pattern or if I'm just being paranoid.

There is no way that they will focus layoffs on a specific demographic. If they were to lay off mostly older people or people of color, do you know how many lawsuits there would be? You are probaly more at risk if you are white and young, especially considering what is going on in the world right now. That's just my opinion.
So far the Corp ppl I know are in their 20s - mostly assistant level ppl.
Most of the people I know from corp who were let go are in their 30s or 40s.
27 with 4 years in job, right out of college.
Of the Corp people I know so far.
I know 4 people including myself in Late 30-40s laid off.
I know 1 person early 20s going back.....
I can perform better than 60 % to 70 % H1B people retained by the company. This is not fair. Keeping H1b and laying off citizens. An open interview is a better option by 3rd party company.

@ywj I am not (at least not yet.) But the people I know who are affected are in those age groups, that's why I asked.
If you are one of the ones being severed, your severance paperwork should include a list of the ages of everyone else being laid off.
