Makes sense now, Xerox IWS tool launch is July. This is A.I. for call centers, which is going to replace call center personnel. I imagine the transition will take a month or 2 get setup for accounts. It's badass tool, it allows end user to place service or supply order direct with eAutomate without call center interaction. It's a HUGE selling point for sales team, Xerox advantage. Talk about full control of your machine, you don't have to call in anymore, wait on hold, argue that you need toner.

I feel bad for Saxon, call center has 1 outstanding individual worth keeping, SB. Reality is if your customer picks up phone and calls for service, it can be handled from anywhere. Face it, HCL manipulated Xerox/JohnnyV for cheaper $$$ "save a buck".

@jfj, you are right on, I have been on some calls and the leaked deck from 2019 may not have gone as fast as Xerox/ HCL wanted but damn everything mentioned is coming to fruition, there will soon truly be only less than 10% onshore employees, they will use you until you serve your purpose and then drop you like a bad habit

Are you surprised? You shouldn't be, it's been part of the Xerox plan announced last March 2019. 1st wave closing real estate, offshore A/R, A/P, leasing to HCL. 2nd wave eliminate abundance of HR, I.T., Admin. 3rd wave eliminating high end executive level salaries, Core Consolidation, service techs reduction per area. Next is offshoring customer care centers, supplies, parts, customer service. Sales managers and reps are being evaluated and will hear there fate soon.

Anyone from XBS that is surprised by any of these moves - consolidation, layoffs (er sorry I meant furloughs), and offshoring are living in a bubble. The rest of xerox has been experiencing these things for at least a decade. John v and co simply don’t care that you all wanted to be ‘left alone’. When you can’t tell xerox people simple numbers (metrics that run the business) there’s bound to be changes in the way they want to run your business. It’s never fun to hear these things. Never easy. Decades of mismanagement all around.

This is right in line with hints I have been hearing, I think all call centers will be all offshored in the next few months
