Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Quick question for eCommerce folks in the know

Did Walmart and Jet ever do backend/platform/systems integration after acquisition or did they continue to operate as separate stacks? Any pointers on how it went if they integrated?

Unfortunately, SMART is dead to operations. Keep-It-Stocked was the single best tool ever provided to us and the pain of losing it will never go away. The Inventory Management App is hot garbage, and being in eCommerce and not having to use it so much is definitely beneficial to my sanity. KIS definitely lead to better annual inventory numbers and it's no wonder the company is seeing exponentially increasing shrink on average in it's stores "mostly" due to the Inventory Management App and In-Stock-Assistant.

Yeah, we have catching up to do, still! I will miss SMART once it's completely gone.

They were not integrated. This is probably unfortunate because they're system was significantly more structurally sound then GIF. So I suppose it's unfortunate for us eCommerce ASMs
