My whole team was just laid off as a cost cutting measure. I don't Sabre though. I do blame the media for over hyping the corona virus threat and causing this virus hysteria.

The guy that predicted the two–million+ deaths in the USA has been made a fool. He's already walked-back that nonsense. They're still pushing the mask narrative lying about its positive impact.
Fact is, medicine is not a science, and epidemiology has always been flaky in that a vaccine has never been 100% effective. Worse, there are readers here that will know someone who died from the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 whatever) vaccine when it's released because it will be rushed through. Once again, mass-hysteria at fault. {Not one vaccine has ever been developed within months. They've taken years... five to ten years on average.
Now our economy has been trashed. It will recover if future leadership is fiscally responsible and focused on the positive side of Capitalism. Otherwise America will slide into a cesspool of Socialism, and yes the lousy media and sheeple are at fault.

The hiring that's happening right now is not a conspiracy. Sabre employees were not laid off or furloughed just to hire cheaper replacements. It's just the TPF offload work that is hiring contractors that Google is paying for. The timing is really terrible and the situation makes it even more likely that TPF offload will fail but Sabre has no option because it's use it or lose it or worse. There is a need to staff up for TPF offload whatever the revenue is and existing Sabre employees cannot be hired by Google as contractors. It is a mess but it is not a conspiracy.
In KRK they are also recruiting contractors from body-leasing companies while so many employees are on the furlough...
As others have posted, job boards have advertisements from outsourcing companies to take on Sabre work.
Sabre has a history of treating employees like garbage.

Let's wait until after July 6th before freaking out about furloughs not returning. Until then all we know is that we have been told to expect them back then. If it doesn't happen then then we will learn why then. Not now.
Um it is almost June... hopefully no one still believes that any meaningful number of furloughed people are intended to be brought back.
Please clarify. Was your team in MVD furloughed or laid off?
My team in MVD was cut meaning I had to learn in a few days how to run all the reports they ran each month. My boss took early retirement so she obviously didn't give a s–t. The people they kept in Sales have nothing to do.
