If SS&C acquired your company and you still work there it would be wise for you to research the company you are working for.

You should visit the Birmingham Alabama office. Its a ghost town. Mostly an empty building.
They just put a For Rent sign outside the SS&C office I work in.
I work here and it is the most dysfunctional directionless company. The amount of bloat in salaries for unqualified poorly educated workers is baffling. I could go on all day but this place truly s—s. The running joke amongst employees is that we’re a software company with horrible software. Top to bottom no one knows what they are doing, and don’t you DARE try to question the system.
Formula to acquire competition is better than competing for clients. Their selling point is to say the will extend the life of the company as business clients are limited. Besides most of the executives get good packages and move on to the next company to sell. It’s hard to sell to new clients and they buy the company for the clients to cross sell. Costs are high Initially but they save $ by keeping only essential services. Everything else is cut. Then cash in the subs got to them to payoff the loans. Anything that waste $$ like benefit wellness is cut. Now with the pandemic there will be even more cost cutting
Terrible company. I just left from there. I finally found another job and was able to get out of there.
How does this company keep getting loans to acquire companies ?
Taking a job at SS&C Health was a bad decision. Leaving there was a great decision.
You got that right. No job security. You get threatened for your job everyday.
This organization has the worse management than any company I have ever worked for. Talk about unqualified management this company takes the award.
Its worse than a sweatshop.
Looks like both sides Health and Pharmacy are being furloughed.
Terrible company. Glad to have another job and be gone from there ! Terrible management.
What side of the business are furloughed on? Is it the pharmacy and health side?
Typical of them. Brutal company ran by brutal management
Some people are also receiving phone calls to be furloughed. They are sending emails and making phone calls to furlough employees. Not sure of the total yet.
The way we find out employees are gone is we send an email and its bounces back. No one is told who has been furloughed. There are not that many of us left anyway to be furloughed.
Looks like many have received the “You have been furloughed indefinitely” email. SS&C is just trying hard to keep it quite. The total number should surface soon. They are using the pandemic to cover up the opportunity to loose more people.
How many people have received the you are being furloughed indefinitely email ?
Let them continue. The important thing is if you are an employee who is acquired, do little and begin looking for a job and either leave or get the package. This is no career path at SSC if you are not a Stone or one of his cronies. If you ever heard Bill speak off the record you would wonder how he is still CEO.

Acquiring DST has been the largest acquisition SS&C has done. The CEO of SS&C Bill Stone and his direct reports have gotten on Town Halls and given presentations how they were going to invest in healthcare technology and grow the DST Health division. As they have been giving these speeches they had financial staff looking at the experienced qualified healthcare employees salaries for people to layoff. They used the formula for any Manager or Director making over 130k per year to be laid off. They keep lists of these people and time the layoffs so they will be under the radar of the feds.
Brutal is a kind word for SS&C Management. They are much more than “Brutal”.
We looked into the acquisitions of SS&C due to we work at SS&C. Wow, our research reflects none of their acquisitions are successful. The post here are correct. They crash, downsize and layoff at every company they acquire. This repeated practice should not be allowed. We feel for the lives SS&C has effected negativity. Working at SS&C we have also experienced their heartless management style. They are just brutal.
