401K Match Suspended

A recent letter signed by the Benefits Department (no name of course), states:

• the 401k Match Program is temporarily suspended effective May 1, 2020

• this action follows the trend of many other companies

Interesting that this happens after a CEO walks off and a construction company files three liens against SEA. Coinsurance... maybe...naaaaaaaw.

A lot of companies are doing this, it's actually quite common.

You really don't get the fact that us furloughed literally have NO INCOME at the moment and are at the mercy of finding another job with 500k other floridians currently looking or hoping the unemployment system works.

401k matching is one of the last things in our minds at the moment without any kind of basic income.

ahhhh. but to those of us furloughed, it does mean something. Because if you read the whole letter, it alludes that they MIGHT revisit contributing once the parks reopen. Anyone want to place some bets on whether or not they will have a financial excuse not to match? Just one more way to screw the employees. This one is potentially long term.
