Covid-19 SHUTDOWN

There is a strong possibility that the stay at home may be extended to August.

Alright. FSS pays the bills. The family is just doing us a favor by keeping us around. We concede. Shut down the campus stores, be more profitable without us since we're such a burden. I am sure the campuses will not end up eliminating their campus stores even if they are no longer managed by Follett. They are still going to want to offer campus branded gear to students, for example. If my campus were to go independent, I am confident I would still have a job. :)

Unfortunately, I think your attitude is misplaced. If there were zero profit in any of the stores, "the family" would not waste their time acquiring new contracts or renewing them.

But yeah, bottom line, those of us who have good relationships with our campuses won't be crying too much if our "gravy train" ends.

Question is, if that happens how will Follett survive? Lots of high end Executive salaries to be paid With no income coming in from the stores.
I'm sorry, did you miss the message? FSS pays all the bills. Everyone else has always been dead wood. Get over yourself. The family dividends will continue to roll in. They family was doing you a favor keeping you around. The gravy train is over for you!

Which stay at home order? Some states don't have them. Some stores are still open.

Blanket nationwide statements aren't accurate. Some campuses will remain closed till August I'm sure. Others will reopen to the public in a month or so, even if classes remain online for Summer.

No big sporting events, no March Madness, no football, no grad fairs, no parents weekends, no new student orientations, no nothing........ all nails in the coffin.

@klb+14pMeZ9n: no benefits would be a way for Follett to save money. Wouldn't be suprised at all if that is what they do.

At 30 hours you would no longer be a FT employee - no benefits.

Is Follett counting on employees with Stockholm Syndrome running their stores?

I can only assume when they call us back to the stores all FT folks will be cut down to less then 30 hours a week to make up all the money lost from Summer Camps, NSO's and offsite events. We will be lucky to get 2 part time team members on payroll.

Anyone else going bonkers staying home? I have to work out every day to keep my body moving since I was on my feet for 7-8 hours a day at my store. IDK if I can deal with another 2 months of this c-ap.
