Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

COVID = Furlough Not LayOff... then back to Layoffs....

During this COVID time, if you are a Direct Xerox Employee you will have a furlough not laid off. Why? For Xerox to save restructuring charges or severance cash. Allows Xerox to tap into various Locale specific Gov’t programs($$) to save our cash. Provide covering to say “we treated our employees fairly”.

It has already started in Some European countries where in some cases they can get 100% of pay. It WILL roll to the US quickly, to save cash and you’ll get basic un-employment - with some fluffy words. My bet is ALL Depts/Cores/Orgs will have It a list.

Easy way to get out from under what would have been Layoffs(now). Oh, Oh, then shortly on heels say 1-2mo will be the flip from furlough to permanent(with no severance).

If an In-Direct Employee.. well other Posts have discussed how that is handled! Just pass off “lay-off” to contracting 3rd party.
