The operating systems and platform infrastructure they run their software on was discontinued years ago. Technology this old should not be still in operation in the healthcare industry. Healthcare is supposed to be modern not using 40 year old technology.

The real proof is if the clients stay or go. Most clients are going. There in no way a company can stay afloat loosing 93 percent of its client base. The company had already lost many major clients when SS&C took over but has now lost 93 percent of its client base that was there when SS&C acquired DST Health. Does anyone in management look at these numbers ? No clients, no profits, no revenue, no company. This can be done on a calculator.
Pretty sure it was the legacy DST peeps who decided who should go, not SSnC. You reap what you sow.
They did lay off the more modern progressive people. The people remaining are antiquated old technology people members of the old timers club within the organization. The old timers club are the ones responsible for the organization not being able to move forward.
Rumor is they laid off the guy and his team that was moving the antiquated application to a more modern system and operating system off of the discontinued HP system that has been retired by HP. HP had sent out notices to clients advising the clients they would no longer maintain or support the HP system. It makes no sense why a company would lay off the team working to modernize their antiquated systems. Just typical of SS&C leadership.
The new joke of a CTO is a really young guy with no healthcare experience. It par for the course for SS&C to bring in a limited experience young man with no healthcare IT experience to save the day with a newly developed software package with an estimated availability time of 24 months. That is two years of clients being expected to continue to operate on crashing, slow cobol programs that run on discontinued systems and operating systems. What a joke !!!
They intentionally laid off the progressive modern people. Its evident they do not want to move forward as a high tech healthcare IT company. They retained the antiquated old technology people. The antiquated managers, directors and executives and running the company into the ground.
Did they really fire the "new" prez of health? Already!?!
RxNova is IBM cobol and was not even fully rewritten when it was relaunched in 2011. No one in healthcare other than those paid to sell it think it is anything but 25 years of old technology. They hired a fired IBM guy as a puppet to run health who didnt even come to KC the day of the layoffs.
Wait until you see what the joke of a CTO plans to replace it with! Good luck!
Rxnova is a new platform only a few years old which is what we use
