Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Anybody?

Is there one person who believes Sam's Club is doing all it can to protect both us and the members? Or is it clear to everybody that those on top see this just as another opportunity to make as much money as possible, at whatever cost (because it's not them risking their lives here every single day?)

We now have a limit of 300 members in the building at a time. I was leaving the other day and you should hear the members complaining because they had to wait to go in! Smfh!

Don't believe in Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, or Walmart caring about employees.

Stop complaining & Go on unemployment and claim they are not giving you the necessary protections with this virus. They won't do anything more until push comes to shove and no one there to do the job. As for GM's not showing up, probably were told not to put themselves in danger. Funny they don't care if hourlys or asst mgrs are. Or they tested positive and can't tell anyone because they will have to quarantine the store more

Why are there more people in the club during senior shopping hours than any other time? Its ridiculous.

Much like my managers have said the past week... we are a business and we need to make sales. They don’t care about associates one bit.

Agree that not everything is being done to protect us. And can I just say, the plexi at the membership desk is just stupid. Not protecting us at all!

We have a sanitizing system for all the shopping carts that been sitting in receiving for almost a week now. Kudos to HO for getting it to us, buuuuuut isn't worth the fark if it isn't being used...

Our club manager got a complaint about it so started limiting people for about half the day. Next day it was business as usual. They want the associates to distance themselves but don't care about how many members come in. They pulled some of the chairs out of the breakroom and told us no more than 8 people in it.

I ring groceries up. A runner scurries behind me and a family talks and laughs on the other side of a two foot piece of plexiglass, which they sidestep to count their money or write a check.

I refused to take a lady's money the other day. She licked her fingers to count her bills.

Not safe.

There’s an Easter pod going up tomorrow. It’s all about the money. CDC and WHO are saying no gatherings. Sams is selling all you need to have a party. Although the GM is only coming in 3 days a week and staying about an hour on those days. Great leadership. Really inspiring and makes me feel safe.

Need to have a police officer at the door taking members temperatures and limit the members to 1 per membership, no kids. Stay the hell home. I see the same members shopping every day, only buy 1 or 2 things
