Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Unemployment update

I filed March 23rd and received my letter today with a certification date of today. So I hopped my butt online and answered all the questions. When it asked me about wages from March 22-March 28th I gave it a dollar amount larger than I should have because we received 3 days of emergency pay. MISTAKE! You are only suppose to enter the $ amount for days you actually worked. Oops. I screwed myself out of a week of UI. Trying to fix it by calling the IDES is pointless. No humans are answering the phone.

Do not make the same mistake I made. Pay attention to what you are entering.

UI was DD today after I certified on Monday. I received COBRA info as well as the "laid off " letter from Follett. Also received info from TRowe Price. Apparently they informed Trowe Price that we aren't laid off but classified as "leave of a absence". We could have taken advantage of the Cares Act with regards to withdrawls from 401k but since Follett says we are still employed, just LOA, nope.

Sorry you received severance. Then again, they paid a severance? 7 years ago I know more than a few with 15+ years in with follett and they received ZERO.

Severance does not count.

Severance doesn’t count against unemployment. Been there, done that with Follett.

Sorry but what if you get paid severance? Do you put zero in for those days?
