How do you use your sick time? If you are sick to Holland for two days can you put in a they approve it, but still puts points on our attendance. That’s what we don’t understand. They say we can use it on save our PTO and PTO protection

You can use your legacy time for a medical appointment. You have to let your manager know and put in for unpaid time off. Then your people lead can go in and use legacy time for you. You dont have to prove you have an appointment either.

I just got my letter from walmart saying you don't have to use pto or ppto first. That employees with sick time left from before they start the pto will get to use them.

You DO NOT have to use your ppto and pto first.. Effective Feb. 1, 2021, you'll be able to use your available Legacy Sick Time BEFORE tapping into your PTO and Protected PTO.

It’s so hard getting some answers on this...
Management don’t know and too long waiting for someone to answer the call!!! So frustrating

It literally says" before tapping into your PTO and PROTECTED PTO...". So i don't understand why you have to use those up first?

I got this email...
Starting February 1, 2021, we're making changes to our PTO policy that will give full- and part-time hourly associates with available Legacy Sick Time more flexibility in when and how they use it.

Effective Feb. 1, 2021, you'll be able to use your available Legacy Sick Time before tapping into your PTO and Protected PTO. It's a great change that gives you more options when you need to take time off.

We're also expanding how you can use your Legacy Sick Time. Effective Feb. 1, 2021, all associates will be able to use Legacy Sick Time for self-care in addition to using it to care for their family. Taking care of yourself and your family are both important and we want to give you the flexibility to use all of your available PTO options to take care of these priorities.

Really, nothing has changed. You have to exhaust all protected pto and regular pto to access the legacy sick time. The only thing that may be different is that you don’t have to be inactive in the system, but not 100% sure. But you do have to use all of your regular pto first.

There’s a catch though. You have to have 0 left in ppto and pto in order to use the sick hours on yourself. They will never do something to just benefit us 100%. What they are doing is, they want everyone to use up their ppto and pto so when this whole virus passes by, they will lock up the sick hours again and everyone will be at 0. They are smart! Wake up people.

Type in Covid at the top. Several pages will pop up about time off. It is in that information. They have opened it up to use it.
