It is true. FB wasn't the total reason FD was gutted however unlike the other CEO's he was transparent that he didn't care at all about the staff. As an original FD employee, I never felt so undervalued until FB took over. The only people he valued were the puppets he brought with him from JPMC. The fiefdom he created! That was always so obvious. It is heartbreaking to see FB treat Fiserv the way he treated FD.
I don't want to give FB credit for gutting FD because he only contributed. As an OFD employee that has been around since forever I can tell you the company was gutted by KKR before FB was given the keys. If I remember correctly FB was the third or fourth CEO after the LBO and each one contributed to the end result. Not that FB isn't accomplished at gutting companies but I like to think his real passion is k–ling morale.
And Tom Whitney and drew would have done it for half the cost. Opportunity lost
