Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Is 20 percent enough?

People are risking their lives every day in the field. I've checked around and other companies have given their employees who are at the highest risk due to being in constant and direct contact with customers much more substantial bonuses.

Don't get me wrong, I applaud this move but I still have to wonder if it's enough.

I think the risking lives statement applies the community at large. We can become carriers ie.. Typhoid Mary’s to our families & customers that are high risk. My own daughter meets that criteria

I’m glad these folks are getting a raise. I think some are a bit over the top with the “risking our lives” rhetoric, (you’re not storming the beach at Normandy, take it easy) ...but they deserve the extra pay.

If you don’t like it, quit. No matter what they give you, you will never think it’s enough. For you sitting on a chair doing just enough to get by a–. Most bargained employees with AT&T should be fired as they are worthless.

ATT will be compensated by the Federal Government (all of us taxpayers). A better move would be to suspend taxes!

With the widespread layoffs, some in my family being laid off indefinitely with 0 income, at this moment I appreciate just having a job. The raise was a bit of icing on the cake

Be thankful! Lot of us surplused we’re not able to get a job even with all the experience we had.

Your life for a mere 20%? Don't think so, Randy

Of course it is, doofus. If you think otherwise, quit!

AT&T surprised me by throwing in this bonus. I thought of the leadership as heartless souls. I like the way they differentiated front-line people at risk.

Government categorized AT&T as critical company during these times, so they had to keep certain stores open for FirstNet services.

Apple is planning to open the stores in staggering fashion as early as in 2 weeks.

It’s more than fair. Att is not a charity. They didn’t have to do anything at all.
