This company should be ashamed of itself!

I work for this company and asked Human Resources to please close the stores. I expressed my concern that people like myself are in the higher risk category and shouldn't be here. I said as long as the store is open we feel obligated to go to work. I got a reply in less than an hour.: You are welcome to stay home and use your vacation and sick time you have accrued. I have worked here more than 17 years. wow. Use my own earned vacation hours up or risk my life. I was shocked/not shocked. I have really loved working at this store but this was a wake up call for me. I'll go tomorrow and tell them I'll see them in a couple weeks or when this "risk" dies down to a safe level.

People's lives are on the line and this is the best they can do? Bass Pro Shops leadership should be ashamed!

They have never cared about you! They continue to find ways to skirt around the mandated closures by claiming they are a critical business because they sell food and camping equipment?? Get a grip people and understand that the only thing we are selling at this point is guns and ammo. We continue to break all the rules and endangering our team by staying open (when all other retailers close and pay their employees to stay home and healthy), allowing groups of 10+ to congregate at the gun counter, sell credit cards, no communication from leadership and a blatent disregard for the safety, health and well being of team that works here. But hey I did get a credit app today and that is what is really important.

Company must be struggling after the Cabelas purchase. They have been slashing everywhere.

Cutting full time employees to 32 hours due to lack of sales during their biggest sale. But still make us attend 5 days per week to get that 32?.
Pretty scummy policy.
Almost as bad as the 4 hour shifts they make people work on the weekends. K–ls your whole day. Cant go fishing and basically burn up 1 out of those 4 hours in gas getting to work.
