Due to COVID-19, nearly all non essential businesses around the country are currently being shut down. Due to such a high demand in home improvement essentials as well as home appliances, water heaters, electrical and plumbing maintenance supplies, and other homegoods, Lowe's will remain open admist the crisis to serve their customers. Even in a state wide shelter in place order Lowe's has made it clear they will not be closing its doors.
While Lowe's has issued a statement saying they will offer 2 weeks of normal pay if an employee is to come down with coronavirus or be placed under mandatory quarantine, employees who are not sick have no choice but to remain working at this time and I believe Lowe's can do better for those committed employees who are risking their health for the benefit of the public and the company they have vested themselves in.
Lowe's employees are taking on a much larger workload in a both stressful and compromised environment due to being around the general public and with great possibly of risking exposure to the virus and even more so, bringing it home to their loved ones.
These risks more than warrant and increased hazard pay. I am urging Lowe's CEO Marvin Ellison to meet these needs. Please sign this petition and repost and forward to your friends so we can show Marvin that we deserve better and together we can all have a Lowe's Safe Day!

Yes please give hazard pay because we could still get the virus we are around people.

Another company that cares more about profits than employees. Stores are sold out of antibacterial wipes, toilet paper etc. needed for this emergency. People mostly buying home improvement items. Took nasty letter before they even adjusted store hours.

But if you take your two weeks now and when it's over we're as bad as Italy... That's not a good time to go back to work is it? I'd suggest waiting about a week, that way you limit your exposure during as much of the height of this as possible. Just my 2¢ though.

Just when you thought Lowes couldn't get any more stressful. I left two years ago in the dept manager lay offs and Lowes had hit rock bottom back then or so i thought. Then i heard about the schedule changes, etc. And now CoVid19. So glad I am gone. I don't know why you need any more proof that Lowes is the absolute worse company in the world. Time to leave before Lowes k–ls you. if you can't afford to just walk out I would start coughing in front of management. Just make sure they see you coughing a lot. Act like you are trying to hide it. Make sure you peers see you too. They will go and complain. Make management send you home. Then call out sick. It will save your life. We will be exactly like Italy in about 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, any sort of petition for "hazard pay" will be met with, "Well, times are tough. You're lucky to still have a job when so many other do not". Can almost gurantee this will be the case.

Lowe's is deemed essential. Gas stations, banks, hardware store, grocery stores, all are deemed essential.

Lowe's sells cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, gloves, masks, water, ect. Not to mention the actual home improvement stuff. If people are coming in to roam around that is an issue with those people, not the store.

I hate most of what Lowe's does, but in a time of crisis they are an essential business that needs to remain open. Why the gell should you be given hazard pay when there is medical staff actually risking their lives that aren't getting it?

Lowe's biggest problem is they fired all the long time dedicated people and replaced them with petulant children such as you.

Cut down on hours and only ship the essentials. Christ they still sell cancer causing round up. That shows they don’t care. Educated people who are so dumb in life.

I will never shop at Lowe’s again. I was always a devoted Lowe’s shopper but with this virus and them being greedy over peoples health is where I draw the line. Without employees Lowe’s is done. Keep your employees safe! 700 people work at a distribution center and they think that’s safe? Nothing is getting cleaned . Doors, cafeteria tables and trash can lids are filthy plus toilets and urinals are a mess.
