Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I'd take a 50% pay cut if I could keep my job for at least a year

I'd make that trade

If a person has true financial need, they will take whatever work they can get, and there is not shame in that. You have to stay afloat.

This is what is going to happen,,,,
Honeywell will take it on the chin for 2weeks
Then you will be asked to take all sick and annual leave
Then you will be asked to take redundancy or lay off (which is worse)
Then you will be covered by the governments emergency package
That’s how I see it from experience

Don’t worry. You will probably get that chance. Companies will be delighted to take advantage of people who are desperate and ill prepared for a financial emergency.

Deal. I’ll keep my job at full pay and have you do all my work at half pay.

I expect to be in the upper L or your pay goes down to 40%.

No MIP either. I’m the Band 4 not you.

Shh, some smarty might read this and offer everyone a chance to work at 50% pay with a clause saying you can't leave prior to 5 years. Looking at how quickly China is recovering, you may regret signing after 2 months!

These are extremely times! There isn’t going to be as much work so 20 hrs might be all there is
