Starving you out is way more economically and socially feasible taking into consideration employees have families and need benefits.
If you don’t like changes - change employers! See what your worth in workforce.
Take a lot of breaks and don’t answer the phone, that will get you to the top of the list. It’s an easy process to get a package.
Pay cuts and 40 hour max work weeks?
No layoffs, they are adopting the starve you until you quit method. Far more economical than paying layoff packages.
