Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Can charging more for less lead to customer growth?

We are trying this right now. My question is: do you think this strategy may work?

It all depends on what the competition is doing. If the others are also squeezing their customers and there aren't options they might get away with it.

What's the product and how would customers know it's worth the extra cost? You're not talking about a designer product here but a commodity offered by other companies and easy to find in most geographic areas. Generally, service is the defining characteristic separating one from the other in this situation. If T were to say something like you'll have uninterrupted service 99.999999% (SixSigma) of the time, and if not, we'll rebate cash to you, maybe.
