Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Can HBO or Warner save AT&T?

An interesting read that paints a grim picture for the future.

Quoting the final paragraph:

But one industry veteran who works closely with the Warners film studio raises the biggest question of all: Will all the resources being plowed into the HBO Max streaming service pay off? "I don't know how it can be Disney+ or Netflix," this person says. "And if that's the case, then what?"

$150 billion in debt. A management team that doesn’t understand Telecom much less the Media industry. A streaming offer coming late to the game and already the most expensive. Competing against the likes of Amazon, Disney, Netflix, Apple and Hulu. What could possibly go wrong?

I guess randy and stank creative accounting can save the worse companies. Charge the customer more for less.

Since they are getting marginalized from the stank I would bet on no.

Oh no, a Hollywood guy that thinks he knows more about Hollywood than Randy and John. This can't be possible.

If the company sees a streaming business as an answer to its customer exodus problem and that streaming business doesn't do well then it could contribute to more layoffs.

Less customers equal less profits which may lead to more reductions.

ATT buys at the peak, overpays by a wide margin, and then unloads for pennies on the dollar. Time Warner is now under the control of a Soviet Union style empire. They will pump out bland chocolate and vanilla. Strawberry? Too risky Sprinkles? Not enough profit Hot Fudge? Cocoa too expensive....oh you want a napkin, spoon, or cup of water with your ice cream.....there is a fee for that. Amazon, Netflix, Disney, and Apple are going to crush Time Warner and soak up all their talent. Sprint and T-Mobile are going to crush ATT Mobility. It's over folks. Bad Culture, Zero Innovation, Bloated, and Debt Ridden. Board is Non Existent or simply a bunch of Cucks.
