Thread regarding CVS layoffs

NY Times story already old news

Google Search CVS Health, CVS Pharmacy, CVS New York Times and guess what? The “big” story does not show up in the top search results. No mention of the story other then the Chicago Sun picking it up. Either our evil company manipulated search results to bury the article, or no one cares. Probably a little of both. There should have been public outrage, but I guess the nature of the average self centered America has their attention pointed elsewhere... for now. Sadly, until the next “big” story of someone dying happens and the short lived outrage ensues, I guess no one will take the article (all truth BTW) seriously.

Please share your thought about why you think the story lost steam and what can be done to bring awareness to the public while protecting our jobs.

Agree with the article 100%. CVS worries more about metrics than patient care. Metrics are life at CVS. You don't meet them you don't work. More about profits and less about "helping people on their path to better health." Those responding that their workload is acceptable are either delusional or kissing some serious a–.

Actually that poster is correct , the district leader has a budget! They can move hours , scripts and front end sales into any store they choose ! They can also back load to one store and have all the other stores look good on paper and on reports . One store looks bad and 14 look great makes a DL look like they are doing an awesome job ! The store they overload faces many challenges and usually people are ran off in that store ! So as long as the DL hits there budgeted numbers the company allows them to redistribute! So I guess your the @@@ not the other poster! So yes there are sweetheart budgets

You my friend are an id–t. DLs don't make budgets. That all comes from corporate.

The pharmacist that is not behind has been set up for success , so get real ! There are a few stores that are taken care of by the boss by setting good budgets or script counts . 99 percent are dangerously understaffed . Your message belongs on the I love CVS web . Your vision of the company is not the real world ! Unions needed

It’s old news because most of it isn’t true. A small percentage of pharmacists think they are being overworked. Very small. The efficient ones have no problem keeping up. Just ask mine. Never more than 2 pages behind. And she never spends more than an extra hour or 2 over her hours.
