No bonus for any of you. Yahoos this coming. Year. Make sure to pay for your mortgaged over priced home. Better lock up your sled, because the repo man may take it. Life is stressful in the automotive industry keeping up your social facade.

At GM, the bonus is determined by your level. Level 5 and 6, which are new college grads and typical non-senior employees have a target of 10% of their salary as a bonus. This amount gets modified by the company's performance, which was 114% this year.
So a level 5/6 gets 11.4% of their salary, but this again can be larger if you're a high performer.
More senior employees have a larger part of their salary as a bonus, with managers getting into the 20%+.

GSR8 is the highest non-supervisory rank for working level stiffs. Your bonus target at Ford is not based on your salary, but on whatever amount they determine for your grade, i.e., GSR5-8 for salaried folks and then LL6 to LL5 for the supervisors and managers. They publish a chart which shows your bonus target. I believe at the higher ranks, LL4 (Chief Engineer) to LL1 (VP), get more bonus $$ but it's an individual target determined by HR and is private.

That's why bonus is a scam, you need a raise! Plus they tax the c-ap out of it! Joke!!

Is a GSR8 a non-manager? Entry level or experienced?

We were surprised by 114% payout on our bonuses. Most of us thought the strike wiped out bonuses entirely.

How is the target bonus determined at Ford? At GM it is based on percentage of annual salary at a certain level.
