Yes, of course, a cashiers main job is to sell plus and credit. In case you haven’t noticed, the majority of our members are checking themselves out through self-check or scan and go. If cashiers can’t sell, then see ya...

Yep club here in Florida panhandle is getting worse and worse. We're a small small town with a bunch of smaller but father towns surround it. Can't get numbers of everyone already had it.

Yup. Threatened to be held accountable. Maybe even losing our jobs. Eff it. Store management or market manager should hop on the register. It's easy afterall right?

Car salesman sells cars. Restaurants sell desserts. Sam's sells memberships.

I've worked as a cashier for seven years now. Don't understand why new cashiers make such a big deal that they have to ask someone if they want to upgraded their membership. If the member don't like it, they can always return it. It's refundable.

As to credit cards.....rates are always high. All stores offers them. Even the great and powerful Amazon. The grown adult shoppers are capable of making their own decisions about their credit. They want 45 off their groceries, take the credit card. Don't want it, don't do it. And just because someone is old, doesn't mean their stupid. They had credit cards back in the day too, you know.

My only problem with the credit card is half the time the registers won't use their driver's license as payment . We've complained forever and no one, not the people from the credit card company, who come to check on these things, nor our management, can seem to fix the problem.

The only thing that matters is plus and credit.

Sams's profits come from the memberships that are sold, it has been like that since they opened. It is a business and the thing every business wants is to make a profit. If you are not happy with your job, please feel free to find another one. As for the credit, get the member signed up with what ever special is going on that week and move on to the next. Yes they complain about being asked time after time after time after time...……

I remember when I first started my CM came up to my register and screamed at me in front of everyone because I did not offer the credit card with the exact lines he said to use. I had a line of members and all he cared about was getting numbers. Not sure how that was going to work since he just did that in front of them.... I was good at getting sign ups, and I did it my own way. Not his stupid speech. I will tell you that he never did it again. To others, but not to me.

Every day it’s badger and lie to the members, it’s usually the old people. The plus is not worth it and the credit percentage rate is so high. We do not look out for the best interest of the members. It’s all about the greed of the company.
