Lots of rumors flying around BGCO call center in Hilliard today about a closure happening to a department in the building. Uncertain of any truth to it.

What is CSST?
I was in the BGCO/GCO center that closed in Huntsville, Alabama. Let me tell anybody that's affected in BGCO what "move" to another center means. They provided us this option also. But what they failed to mention off the bat when they broke the new was that there had to be positions available. It was basically on a first come first volunteer basis until they were all full. They gave us the option to go to the center(s) to see if it was what we wanted. Being so close to Alpharetta, almost everybody chose this location to visit (I only went to get the money they offered for travel). I was in the last group to visit, the day before we had to make our final decision, and we were told basically all the positions were taken. So when they say you can "move", it's not that simple. My advice, take the severance, take a few months off to enjoy life, and then find something else. I did not work for 8 months after I left. Found a job making the same pay with 1000% less stress level. There is life after Verizon and IT IS GOOD!
You're performance can't save you. It's crazy that that the best talent has to move to the culturally depressing, low performing Alpharetta or lose your job. Plus they just hired SM's and a Director less than a year ago. No one is safe...
I knew something like this was coming and am glad I trusted my gut and left on my own terms. It's going to keep happening to BGCO.
Unbelievable!! So sad for my former coworkers. Smile.....better days are ahead! Better paying companies out there.
CORe has been given the option of going HBA, moving to Wilmington, moving to a different department or taking severance. BGCO and CSST are getting really screwed they don't have a HBA option, they essentially have to move, go to Care HBA find a different department or take severance. as far as CORe goes I am not surprised since HBA has been kicking everyone's butt in terms of stats but I am surprised about what happened to BGCO. Hilliard BGCO options are to move to Alpharetta, Hanover, or Salt Lake City or move the home bound Consumer Care, or take the severance. Center closes April 6.
It's true, I was part of VSP and my former co workers are impacted. Must move to NC or apply for consumer HBA. BGCO and CORE. Closing April 1! My heart breaks for them all.
All BGCO laid off in Hilliard. Will have option to relocate to another BGCO center, move to CARE HBA phone support or take severance. 60 day notice.
CORE is going HBA, but I’ve heard will have option for severance if don’t want to work from home.
Indicated that this doesn’t impact other departments, but who knows when that will change.
I called it. So happy I left. I verified with someone still working there. BGCO closing.
