My former district manager was let go, I don't see why they don't do a few more... Useless people!

Hello all HR at bbb are corrupt. They are NOT ever on your side no matter what they say. They know everything and do nothing. Hopefully any said layoffs start with them.

The stores is getting more and more responsibility thrown on them whenever someone is let go, or transferred, or working in other areas of the stores. I see early retirements for quite a few of them in the future. As for the ASMs or the OPs manager, there strain to maintain is just as bad to handle payrolls, ordering, maintaining the floor, training, changing out seasonal, ensure everything is properly price tagged, etc. Letting people go is not the answer. Getting rid of certain programs is... Maybe certain people of course, but thing are becoming extreme. Soon BBB will go as other retailers have in the past.

HR handles the stuff that falls out of the hands of the store managers realm. Mostly stuff like s-xual harassment, or stealing over a certain amount, or abuse of the system. Just doing your job outstandingly, or minor stealing, or if you are a full timer falls to the district manager. The store manager only handles the minor stuff, like picking a dime off the floor and putting it in your pocket, using your cell phone for personal business, or if he or she observes you standing around when everyone else is doing something. The senior managers they get the person who picked there nose.

the abuse hotline is a separate company from BBBY. When you call, they do file a report for the person you are complaining about. They will ask if there are witnesses or if the situation was on cameras. The report goes to HR and then the DM. The complainer can pretty much figure out who the complaint is from based on the incident.

Corp HR is the biggest joke of all. They call you on the office and ask you questions about other employees. If you do not answer them on the questions they fill in the blanks for you. To make it worst they go back to the person and tell them the names of the people who complained about you and give you names of people who didn’t. Be smart and get out

Well this will be deleted soon so soon after posting but initials JJ. She has said openly she has GD in her corner, her pocket and because he likes her will do what she says. But she talks sh– of him too. Of everyone regardless. And I know this will be deleted because she will do whatever to protect herself and her ferocious s— on the company $. She has hurt and impacted so many it would be so awesome to see some karma happen to her. While this is up before deletion I swear to God I hope you see this you evil evil btch and we all hope your new ugly narcissist home burns to the ground soon.

HR are indeed minions, better said puppets being played by RMs, DMs and sadly in an all too large area influenced by a vitriolic, mean-spirited, and totally hated Merch Mgr. Everyone knows who this person is. Everyone hates them but fakes it because they are not dealt with. But bbb prefers to pay for and carry this negative cancer to continue so they deserve what's coming to them...but HR, RM even RVP should know this person talks absolute c##p about each of you on the daily, with the door wiiiiiide open. We all wonder between ourselves why you keep them but who are we? This person has a great job, sits allllllll day, heater when needed, texting hate or spewing it alllll day. The dream goal, someday this evil person sees how hated they are and are escorted out. Won't happen but we can dream.

HR are the minions of Corp. And are in place to do what is right for the company.
They will use the tools in their tool box such as fake empathy and look at the risk to the company.
Once evaluated you WILL be scrutinized carefully and the risk will be gradually eliminated over time by a watchdog manager.
Don't let their fake smile lure you in, beware.
I know these facts, I lived it at this totally fake organization.

HR at BBB is your enemy. You can complain to them and in the end get thrown under the bus. They will act concerned and on your side but when you realize they truly aren't it will be to late. Whoever does not realize it is well past the time to get out is going to end up in a bad situation.

HR is not your friend. Period. Half of those doing the HR role at bbb were never even trained in HR they just got put there so they'd keep their job. Their only goal is to keep their heads above the layoff waters and protect the company. Bringing any issue to them is pointless, you can be a raging jerk in this company and get away with it.
