Anyone that’s worked for Verizon over the last 10years will tell ya if you’re American you will be run off eventually. It’s just a matter of time. Globalism 101.
The gentleman above couldn’t be more wrong about the guy being replaceable. I did the job for 20years and left and nobody I mean no one could do what I done. It takes a minimum of 10years just to touch the surface. Then again it would take 7 people to do the job I did done correctly. Being the last guy putting all the pieces together making it all work I know more than 99% of anyone including so called management. Middle management is clueless and above them couldn’t be more clueless. They think the employees are liabilities but they’re huge assets with PHD talents and training.

@1tfb+13fnRT6R Wow...i haven’t seen a “bit**ing” post on this particular thread. Just pointing out things that make us think a lay-off is looming. BTW It’s performing...not preforming and I for one am PERforming and Like my job and this company.
I also know plenty of PERFORMING employees who were laid off.
Just quit. If you don’t like it quit. No one is forcing you to stay with Verizon. If it’s so bad just leave! B–ching and moaning about how terrible your job is or the company you work for is a waste of time. Your replaceable end of story. If you preform you’ll have a job if you don’t you won’t. Verizon is not a non profit organization.

It’s 100% truth that there is hiring freeze when there are empty positions for months and months that have never been posted.
I saw positions for skyward, however that channel manager position has no mention of skyward in there...SMH.
It says it can be based out of any Verizon office and it is a remote position. So no store visits I guess.

It sounds like a hybrid indirect / b2b account manager position. Weird.
External jobs are posted for Indian H1Bs. No Americans need apply. Look around you. Does VZ look like an American company these days?
All of this has been going on in my area. No Indirect jobs open nationwide. Strange Channel Mannager job open externally that doesnt exist within our channel currently. Massive restructure coming.
