WFH and remote under Saul

My manager today accidentally leaked a document that discussed location strategy in detail.

#This is for employees under Saul only. I cannot speak for the rest of the company.

  1. If you are a full time telecommuter, and do not have an office space, you are safe.
  2. If you are in one of the 25 target markets and WFH, you are safe.
  3. If you are not in one of the 25 target markets, and have a desk, you will be relocated at the end of March (notifications to go out on 3.22), after bonus time. The options are to take 3-6 months severance, or relocate by October 1st.

Thank you.

It's almost as if they stopped and thought:

  • Close the small offices that consume money and attention.
  • Retain the best people, from wherever.
  • Trial virtual DevOps. (This is in itself a DevOps-y approach.)
  • Make decisions along the way.

I could respect that.

In Saul’s all up, he mentioned locations with 10 or less TM’s are going to be impacted. The leaked email does not mentioned this at all. Not sure if this leaked email is legit or not....
