So Google is not going to deliver on the covid website as stated. What a great opportunity to spin up a design thinking workshop and get the garage teams to push out some cloud packs on IBM cloud and deliver this application. There was a time when this company could do such a thing and change the world. Let’s see if that still exists.

IBM thought Agile was just another technology they could buy. But Agile is not compatible with the IBM management philosophy and that will never change.

Agile once a buzzword at IBM got a lot of managers excited because it was another desperate excuse to cling to the shreds of their dwindling relevance; unfortunately Agile has a flaw: it depends on talent. All that is left are layer upon layer of managers whose resumes look like an advertisement for powerpoint. The rest wearing retainers and highlights, are yet to be a cause for pause at Google.
How does a once household brand like IBM escape scrutiny of the SEC for rewarding a failed CEO with a bonus in the millions, and allow her to perpetuate the corruption by hiring mediocrity from within?
Versus other tech, notice how far and fast IBM stock fell after those ungrateful value fund managers dumped it when the virus hit!
It appears that IBM’s window of opportunity has closed and Google will develop the Coronavirus website as stated in the Reuter’s article. Alphabet's shares closed up more than 9% after the Friday announcement by the POTUS. IBM could have picked up the fumble and ran it for a touchdown. Instead, IBM stay on the sideline.
