COR AT&T TV Confusion

So I get it, sell the new product. If someone has existing tv products with us, we cannot flip them and sell it - we give them to an 800 number to " transition" them over. But we are being told to demo the new product to existing customers, each and everyone of them that has uverse or directv. Show , sell them on it..... and when they say they want it, give them the 800 number. And is this wasting my time or what ? We look like id–ts when the customers - and they have, say sign me up. Um ya , sorry, here's the 800 number. To which the customer says - where am I ? Am I really in an AT&T store. Ya, welcome to the new AT&T, where we are just as confused as you are.

What a joke why anybody would jump through hoops just to use a shoddy product with questionable billing is beyond me.

Putting the "new" account in another spouses name is so last year.

Our local store has figured out that they can keep the same name - just change the address by one number and the "New Install" order goes through. Customer cancels old account the next day and all is good.

Thank goodness we pre-call or we might have to jep the job for cannot locate.

Can't complain tho, easy peasey to take out a perfectly fine working Genie and three minis and put the same c-ap right back in.

My efficiency is rocking it!

I got paid. Sales rep got paid. Randall can tout the upsurge in new customers. Winning!

This is what they called “remove friction from the business”. Genius move, customer will rank 9/10 on net promoter score.

With abysmal uptake on the flagship streaming product, there will soon be incentives galore
Just be patient :)

Do what you did with Directv - put it in the wife’s name = new account!

It’s because they don’t want to pay you on it, or give the customer the 1st year pricing if they have another video product. It’s just going to be yet another fail by the terrible executive management team that we will have to pay for again.
