School closings

Hi Does anyone know if our child’s school closes would Sedwick protect us or how would we go about taking off if we have no other option?

Are we protected by Fmla if our child is in a day care and the day care closes ?

I feel if any clubs close because of (china flue) they will not open again. It is getting to the point of not having people to run the clubs on a normal day. They are s—ing the life out of all .

School closings are an approved absence so you won’t get points for calling out as long as you select that as why you are calling out. You’ll still have to use pto or ppto if you want to get paid for the time off though.

Time off as the result of school or day care closures does not qualify for the COVID-19 Emergency Leave Policy. You may substitute available paid time off or personal time pay for any unpaid time off.

Same thing you do in the summer, or any holiday.

I think we would just call in and pick emergency school closure. we won’t get any points.
