Is bbb going to pay sick leave to there part time associates should they get the coronavirus? I would be the right thing to do!

Well, since they won't close, the New York governor has ordered that stores hours be reduced and that the stores run on half staff to help curve the spread. But already, stores and companies are closing up and letting people go.cant afford to hold people without income coming in.
Time for the district manager to be replaced or demoted to part time cashier
That is highly unusual
District called to make sure our restroom sink water was at the correct temperature bc that is definitely going to save lives! This place is a joke.
Our state governor ordered businesses to close that are not grocery stores or pharmacies. We however just heard that we will be ignoring that order and will be open, because there might still be that last minute customer who wants to steal a vacuum.
The question is... how much money is needed to maintain what is left of the company. More restrictions are put on retail, restaurants, bars, and other places like concerts, movies theaters, or other public places, like parks and beaches. Until this virus problem is solved, we will have to just deal with it on a day to day basis
"As long as we're making money we stay open" is what management told me today. Good job BBB on keeping those priorities straight.
Cleaning is important, but disinfecting at this point and time is more. The stores should start with the ventilation systems, they are horrible and breed dirt, mold, mildew, and dust bunnies that are uncontrollable. Sweeping and wiping down everyday.
They haven't told our store anything other than to clean.
The question is, will that coverage be extended to those who have infected family members?
Now I feel that someone in corporate actually reads these messages.
Very glad to see bed bath helping us in some way realizing the times we are in.
The announced today that they will pay up to 10 work days to those infected, and part timers who do not accumulate sick time are also offered 4 hours sick time Per day out to cover the pay from their missed shifts. Actually doing something right.
The perfect opportunity for corporate to evaluate those stores which will be next ones to go
Our store was a ghost town today, only people looking for sanitizer. I'm wondering if BBB will close temporarily while everyone is in panic mode.
no need to ask the O
ps manager. just go into the Force, click on my time off, if you are part time and your state mandates it, you will see the accruals on the right side of the screen.
247 has a person who goes to all of the phones in the store and sprays with lysol. That is her main job throughout the day. I like that kind of job. I could use that kind of job. Since I was let go, hiring freeze is on.
Only some states mandate sick time/ personal time for part time employees. If you are not in one of those states you do not get it.
And I would bet if an employee got this virus it would have been through BBBY!
Get real, if you are PT you will not be getting any wage not even a so sorry your sick, remember it’s Bed Bath and Beyond
Accordingly to the new rules, for every 8 hours worked, you earn one hour of sick time off. Ask your ops to see what you have accumulated.
I am part time here in NJ and i get sick time as per the state of NJ.
Which alternate reality are you referring to?!
BBBY has NEVER paid out sick/personal time for any part time position. That’s why the positions are part time; no work, no pay.
