So it has begun....from upper management it has been told if opus wont let you sell it because of slow uverse speeds to back out and set them up as a new customer so it doesnt recognize speeds. I can see all the new hires getting tricked into this practice. Reminds me of directv now fraud. I also asked if i could get that direction in writing and they told me to call my ARSM to get it in writing...

We're not fixing any copper where I'm at. Core is too busy doing installs. Manholes are flooded everywhere. Trouble tickets are coming in fast & all we have time to do is frog pairs & lay out temporary bypasses. Banks are dumping fiber ethernet due to security issues in the cloud & having T1's turned up. AM & above seem to think this old dilapidated copper plant is going to keep on running forever with no maintenance,
@rls... Where are we FIXING copper? Cut changes, frogs, and bypass wire is all I see where I'm at.
Not surprised at all! It will be worse than the ‘DTV Now’ debacle.
We still have soooo much turf in populated areas that could be upgraded for faster internet with FTTP and FTTN, but T neighborhoods have been left to rot on old cooper while cable competitors continue kick our a$$.
As mentioned before by someone else, they’d rather spend countle$$ $$$$ fixing old copper for decades rather than upgrade.
Call the hotline and report it. Don't do anything that is COBC
