Cisco needs an activist investor that can see through the BS of our crooked exec team. That is the only chance at a true return to innovation.

Great point by Jaded. Exactly the same for me. I was LR’ed in 2018 from the toxic group known as SPBU and now lead the engineering function in an SP.
I now look to remove any Cisco dependency from our product and infrastructure portfolio. The competition are hungry plus we increasingly see supported open-source as the way forward.
I can live with what they did to me...my current company is outstanding compared with Cisco...but how they treated my team after I was let go was despicable and hurts more.
The faster Cisco has an about-turn in terms leadership, vision and an authentic approach to restructuring, the better for the staff in the short-term as well as the stock price in the long-term...
Those investors are also in it for themselves. And they will just lay-off once and for all. Be careful what you wish for. Move, in your own time, if it’s that bad to be here.

Very good point. Most ex-Cisco folks become leaders in other companies. Many choose to avoid Cisco products due to how they were treated. Routine LRs are a terrible business model. Needs to be ended ASAP.
The Exec Team needs to realize that within the pool of people that get LR'd, are people such as myself that go on to then oversee the life-cycle of other networks -

I make it a point to purposefully go to other vendors. Your loss Mother Cisco.
