Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Pricing Coordinator

I’ve been seeing job postings for pricing coordinators for the daytime. All spread out in different states and in time. So far, North Carolina, Colorado, and Texas. Only about 4 postings total. But wondering if they are testing PSC in the day again, or if these are for stores that are going to overnight, and just need to fill the spot in the meantime (not sure about this because the Texas posting was close to home and should have already went to nights last April). Maybe it is nothing.

You should be spending your time looking for job postings elsewhere. Lowes is done.

They went from an unethical company, to downright lying tyrants who dont give a damn about customers or its employees.

Dont work here. You'll regret it.

My friend recently was out of work and got no interviews while on UI. With depleted funds, he asked me to get him a job at Lowe's. I warned him, explained what to expect, and he accepted anyway.

Every day he says how I was right, and the place should be "fire bombed!" He said its the most inept, unprofessional, and craziest hostile work place hes ever seen. He apologizes, and says, "I kjnow you said its bad, but omg. You were right, I guess I didnt believe you and to be honest, its far, far worse. "

The pricing coordinator shouldn't be punished because of lowes poor staffing!
Ours is very good at his job. He had no problem shifting to overnights but think about the thousands of others that did. It's already impossible to fully staff a freight team even a short time. Now when the pricing people quit that job won't get filled because of the c-ap schedule. Sooo have fun doing the pricing yourself.

Ours would be able to get her job done if she stopped talking to all her friends all day long.

Our pricing hasnt gotten any better overnight. It’s either too many, or the companies handling it too poorly.

They need to be wearing the Vendor vests and not helping customers.

Overnight is not perfection. You can’t get prices to zero. You also get to do irpS

Actually pricing coordinators got this job done with no issues for years. The only time it couldn’t get done was between 2017 and 2019 when they started dropping insane amounts, back to back, with little to no help or support for the PSCs.

Overnight was not the best solution either. You get constant issues. Pricing issues don’t get answered till the next day, and our system has went down several times causing our PSC to be hours behind.

Plus many PSCs are overburdened due to having to throw freight along with their pricing duties. Not to mention that changes outside the store do not get done (i.e. trailers, sheds, etc) because they can’t go out into the parking lot late at night/ in the wee hours of the morning due to safety reasons.

The true solution would have been either to add a part time person along with the full time. Or to change it to part time completely, with two or three people, instead of one.

The pricing coordinator can't get the job done when the store is open due to constantly being asked for help by customers.

Overnight is perfect for this position.
