Only hiring for human crash test positions. You get a company car every day you are employed.

I have gotten past the recruiter 3 times, even recorded a computer based interview, only to have them suddenly decide I was not a fit. One time the recruiter called me to say 'um, the position is only for internal' - but it was all over the job boards....

I was laid off last year (30yrs old, 3 years at GM and always with Great CAP reviews). Hell I had my cap review of 2018 the day I got laid off (hence both me and manager were thrown off

I was given paper that said I am eligible for rehire. I found much better job (still in the SE Michigan area) and have zero desires to go back. But I'll cherish my memories I had there

For the involuntary separation, everyone was TOLD they were eligible for rehire. The actuality from what I understand is if you are younger with a Bachelors degree or better you could get rehired.

If not matching the above criteria , you would not get rehired.

Rehire Eligibility? What determined the classification?
During the exit discussion with HR, he made a point to say that I was eligible for rehire. Several of my friends/co-workers in other areas were not so lucky.

What determined whether you are allowed to repost for a position?
