Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What's it like working in EG

Genuinely Curious.

Do people really believe AT&T TV will be a hit?
Everyone trying to get a new job, or just waiting around to be surplussed?

The picture at EG is fairly complex: legacy DTV folks (especially their management VP and higher) believed that DTV was the best thing that happened to humanity and and AT&T acquisition k–led it. Since the DTV management team had more power early on (given to them by the clueless Enrique Rodriguez), VPs such as Goshgarian, the self centered Henry Dervovanisian and others tried and successfully fire as many legacy AT&T employees as they could. Unfortunately, regular employees from both DTV and AT&T were good, decent hard-working people and they all paid the price. At the end Stankey and Randal are responsible for the misfortunes for all EG employees. They are clueless and ruined this company. Working at EG is like worst than working in a prison; but poor employees have families to support, mortgages to pay, ect. and they are just waiting to see when their numbers are up ..... a sad story.

I worked with many of the people that now form the core of EG's Dir's, AVP's, and VP's. About 7-8 years back when they were all brought in new to the company and ran through as LDP'ers, these children were the offspring of the rich and privileged, family and friends, insiders that were all about being cool hipsters and never getting their hands dirty. Nothing but posers. I'm not surprised to hear now that EG is more or less the equivalent of being run by the inmates at an insane asylum. They have zero experience in anything what-so-ever. They only have the big fancy degrees from SMU, Harvard, etc that their parents got them (4-6 year-long party hardy), while being told all along "you are awesome", and "you are a leader", and so on and so forth. Now look at what their handy work has brought us, another failed business, but man -o-man who cares, as they sure do look hipster cool in that fancy $100K with the top down blowing their $200 haircut and beard all about. That’s what matters. It’s you who will lose your job, not these elitists, they’ll be saved and placed elsewhere to destroy another AT&T business.

AT&T TV will be a bomb. 3 simultaneous streams? Same cost as cable companies? Provide your own internet service? Plus the box is android, Only a matter of time before you can hack it like the fire sticks.

Eg is the worse the management and so called experts are a joke. Won’t lose anything when they sell eg to Accenture or whoever is the vendor of the day.
