Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

The board meeting the board meeting!!

The meeting came and went and no plans for mass layoffs by 3/2 like people said. Crazy how conspiracy oriented people are these days. Carry on.

The board has never communicated with employees.

I think the plan was for HCSC to be acquired by a for profit company, but then the Covid 19 flu outbreak happened and the stock market went down. So now everything is in a holding state until the stock market settles or the deal is called off - in which case, HCSC might get a competent executive team again. That's my logical analysis of the HCSC board's non-communication after the board meeting.

HCSC is not getting acquired. The big pharmacy win they keep talking about is the purchase of Walgreens pharmacy. KKR is the venture capital firm that was already in discussion to take Walgreens private. KKR has also worked with Lesar while at Halliburton and his new oil company. There is a reason HCSC didn’t join the CIVICA deal with other blues in the association. Keep an eye out around May when they can finally talk about it.

Lesar's plan for HCSC to be acquired will take time and the opportune entrance, right now is not good timing. It will get much worse in working environment before acquisition.

Very arrogant statement and totally disrespectful to those who were walked out recently. Enjoy your job security and pray it last!

Agreed, culture starts at the top. I will not argue that HCSC is very profitable. Culture or happiness, that’s another deal. Horrible. You reap what you sow. You attract like people. Arrogant and or dismissive is not good look.

Right. People like to drum up drama. Sad. But I wish the interim ceo would leave already. I wish the Illinois club that has moved into key slots in the main office would be broken up soon. They don’t know what they are doing and it is obvious they are taking care of friends instead of putting the right people in roles who know what leadership means. It is making things unbearable for everyone who is forced to work with them. The culture is not going to settle down or get better. It will continue to be terrible.
