Either put another register at the desk or let cashiers do the returns. I’m sick of this twisted up desk.

You don’t need to go the the seat to get a “refund” to put it back in the register it came out of ! Like that ? You can cancel the last transaction on that same register so it won’t mess up in the system and show that you are short for pushing CASH instead of CREDIT CARD !? Some people are ugh !!
"Why didn't they just total 11 it if it was such a large and time consuming transaction??" Our manager doesn't allow total 11.. ever.. and returns at any register except the desk isn't allowed. I think it's ridiculous, but obviously I don't make the decisions.
Our club only has two registers at any given time. Even on weekends. And since EVERYTHING has to come out of the cart, it takes FOREVER to run an order through. But self check? Nothing comes out of the cart there and the associates can do all the scanning for the member. The different areas are literally feet apart. What sense does that make? Where is the logic? Can't you see the reason self check is so fast is because stuff STAYS IN THE CART or ON THE FLAT BED.
Or scan and go? No one takes c-ap out of the cart.
Sorry. Tangent rambles. It's just that this place is so unbelievably strange with Twilight Zone rules.
Yes, for a short amount of time there may be more than one or two at the desk. That's because things aren't well thought out and sometimes the am desk people refuse to do gobacks, which makes more sense than closers, even with subtle hints. But, if I had a dollar for all the simple things that could be done at registers that they get sent to the desk to take care of, I'd be able to just rely on that some days.
Bill payments, simple renewals, SIMPLE questions...
Sometimes it takes just one or two members to completely jam up the desk, depending on how many associates.

Refund it right there at the same register?? All they had to do was change it to refund mode real quick then flip it back.
These new COS/ MSS/ MSL or whatever they wanna be called now waste so much of the members time bringing simple things to membership desk.
Usually bc they have no idea what they're doing. At least that's the case at my club.
We do not control anything the members do. As long as they are going to keep renewing that membership then there is no reason for the company to change. Look for more changes to come. The big complaint about WalMart at one time was the long lines at the checkouts but now at my Walmart there is at least 15 self checkouts and any Walmart I have been in has added more and more self checkouts. Watch what happens to Sams next they will be adding more self checkouts and removing more registers that cashiers operate which would make sense since there never open anyway. Most at out club that is open at a time with an actual cashier is 2. Dont be surprised to see some kind of Kisok put in for members to order from the cafe and pay for it at the Kisok and all they do it go pick it up, its coming watch and see.
I know exactly what you mean. The other day a new cashier at the registers hit cash instead of credit card, so to fix the problem, the team lead came up to the desk to refund the receipt, get the cash, and give it back to the correct register. The receipt was a long one and he was on the register forever. He finished and left me with a line going out the door. omg, I was so mad. I wanted to ring necks.
New cashiers do this all the time, and there are always new cashiers.
This one register desk is beyond wicked. It's nasty evil.
ive been secretly having the sweet ladies at my club teach me things at customer service here and there so i can break off from TBC at slow times to help them out a bit. those poor ladies are getting destroyed over there with that teenie desk
You know nothing about the desk if you think all returns can be done on a tablet
Four?! There is only one at the desk.
It does get difficult for all 4 of you at the desk to complain about who has to cover a door break.
Go backs are basically asking you to go above and beyond even though express return does the refunds for you.
